Peakto is ready for macOS 13 Ventura

October 27, 2022 – Montpellier, France.

CYME is proud to announce that Peakto, the game-changing macOS photo manager for amateur and professional photographers, is compatible with the latest macOS version, Ventura, which Apple just released this week.

This new version of Peakto also comes with a new feature perfect for compiling the best photos of the year: Smart Albums.

Photo cataloger designed for macOS 13

Peakto is a Mac photo cataloger that gathers all of a photographer’s photos and automatically organizes them thanks to AI. Peakto has been carefully handcrafted to look and work great on macOS. The compatibility with Ventura has been improved and various UI elements have been tweaked to look good on Ventura. Peakto is fully compatible with the new Apple Photos that comes with Ventura.

“Being a Mac only application that makes the most of the latest Apple technology is at the heart of the CYME vision,” says Thomas Ribreau, CYME Chief Product Officer“Peakto will support Apple Photos shared Library when it becomes available later this year.”

Automatically compile your best photos

The new feature, Smart Albums, lets photographers construct dynamic photo collections based on a variety of criteria including metadata, also leveraging various scores and keywords computed by Peakto’s AI. Peakto makes it easy for photographers to create albums based on all their photo libraries (Apple Photos, Lightroom Classic, Luminar AI/Neo, Capture One, Aperture, iView Media–and from folders and hard drives).

Easy creation of photo albums

Thanks to Smart Albums, photographers can now automatically create albums based on their favorite criteria. For example, a photographer can select photos rated with 5 stars between a specific time period and that only represent people.

Criteria can be chosen from a photographer’s manual annotations (flag, keyword, color tag…), from EXIF or IPTC data (location, date, rating…), and from AI scores and categories. Thanks to image recognition, Peakto curates images per content, aesthetic score and color. It automatically classifies photos into categories (e.g.,portraits, landscapes, food, wildlife…) that can be used to create Smart Albums.

Always up-to-date and ready to share

Smart Albums are always up-to-date, continuously updating as new content is added or edits are made in the underlying catalogs. With this new version of Peakto, album creation with your best shots of the year is easier and faster than ever.

Smart albums can be exported ready for printing or sharing.
