Creating Visual Storytelling Through Street Photography Moments

I got involved with cameras since the 1990s, starting with film photography. My passion for visual storytelling led me to explore various creative avenues, including street photography. In 2018, after acquiring a new camera (Fujifilm X100f), i began actively capturing candid moments in urban environments, focusing on precise compositions and the interplay of light and shadow. My love to contrasts, in photos and life in general, are visible in my photos. I also love to see cities differently, seeking out small glithes, details and unique moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Exploring Finnish Melancholy Through Light, Shadow, and Urban Stories

I love contrasts, particularly the interplay of light and shadow — and creating precise and compelling compositions. My work is influenced by Finnish melancholy, offering an introspective view of urban life and culture. I try to capture details and unique moments that highlight the hidden feelings around us in the world.

Finnish melancholy, a concept rooted in Finland’s vast landscapes, long winters, and a national identity of resilience. This cultural thing reflects a quieter, introspective side of Finnish life, contrasting with Finland’s reputation as one of the world’s happiest nations. I wanna bring up a deep connection of both urban environments that surrounds us and emotional storytelling.
