CYME is excited to announce the release of version 1.2 of its innovative plugin, Peakto Search (Mac only), designed for both Lightroom and Capture One. This latest version introduces a Timeline feature that automatically generates a chronological timeline of all photos and videos based on their capture date. It also includes a complete video player and offers new filters. Navigating through all your Lightroom and Capture One catalogs without needing to open them, and searching for specific content, has become even easier and more efficient with Peakto Search 1.2. As photographers and videographers are increasingly overwhelmed by large volumes of files, Peakto Search saves them valuable time by providing intelligent and instant access to all their catalogs and sessions, making it easier to showcase their work.
What's New in Peakto Search 1.2:
- New Video Player: In addition to the video summary (scrubber) and contact sheet, Peakto Search now allows you to play the full video. Simply describe a film sequence, and Peakto Search will immediately display all matching videos, which you can either browse in summary form or play in full. With Peakto Search, hidden video content in Lightroom and Capture catalogs is instantly accessible.
- New Timeline View: With the Timeline feature, Peakto Search offers a graphic representation of your photo and video production. The timeline automatically displays the number of images and films taken over time. Photographers can simply select a specific time period to find their work from that era. The timeline also works with filters, highlighting the number of images/videos within each segment that match a specific query (for example: the number of 4-star rated photos over time).
- New Filters: You can now sort your photos and videos by the type of camera used, shooting conditions (ISO, sensitivity, etc.), or whether the photos are edited or not, to refine your search. This is essential when managing hundreds of thousands of content items.
- New Data Features: New data points such as the photo histogram, file size, format, and location of the shoot are now available. A new feature also allows you to open Apple Maps to locate where a photo was taken.
Peakto Search is the plugin that makes it easy to showcase your portfolio without opening Lightroom or Capture One. It’s the perfect companion for finding content and an ideal tool for creating albums or selections from multiple Lightroom and Capture One catalogs and sessions.
Peakto Search uses AI locally to analyze file content, allowing you to find an image or sequence based on a simple description across multiple catalogs and sessions simultaneously. Viewing your portfolio without even opening Capture One or Lightroom, and finding the image or video you’re looking for, becomes a breeze. Always accessible in the menu bar, even when Lightroom and CaptureOne are closed, Peakto Search is the equivalent of Apple’s Spotlight, but a turbocharged version powered by AI, designed to navigate images and videos simply and instantly.
With the rapid increase in the number of photos and videos we store, and the growing importance of creating innovative content, it is essential for photographers to be able to instantly find and explore their creations. This is where Peakto Search comes into play—the indispensable tool for easily navigating through vast media collections.
