Looking back, everything moved faster, felt more intense, and proved more exciting than we ever imagined. At CYME, we often say that Peakto grows at the pace of its creators—and this year, you truly gave us wings.
Within our team of passionate minds—where everyone juggles ideas, prototypes, strong coffee, and lively debates—we saw Peakto innovate in unexpected ways. New features, new use cases, new users… and above all, a shared feeling around the table (or rather, across our webcams): “We’re reaching a new level.”
For Peakto, 2025 was the year of speed—of a clearer vision and tangible impact felt directly in your workflows.
A year where every update had a purpose: to simplify your day-to-day, save you time, and give you back control over your photos and videos.
And somewhere between international trade shows, an award that fueled our momentum, an AI prototype turning into a real feature, and late nights reimagining the world around a design mockup…
Peakto scaled up. And it’s all thanks to you.
What We Released — and Why It Mattered
If 2025 was an intense year for the team, it’s above all because Peakto evolved more than ever in such a short amount of time. With every sprint, every prototype, and every user test, we saw our vision sharpen—and your workflows become simpler, faster, and more enjoyable.
Major Feature Launches
For Everyone: Remote Access
With Peakto Connect and its remote access, our media manager took on an entirely new dimension. An innovation the team is especially proud of: “We finally figured out how to let a team access its media remotely—without the cloud, without external dependencies, and without copying 300 GB of footage.”
A secure, local connection with no duplication, designed for schools, studios, and creators working together. Simply put, this feature redefined how Peakto fits into collaborative workflows.
For Photographers
On the photography side, we strengthened what defines Peakto’s DNA: smarter media management, easier selection, and elegant navigation that keeps all your images within reach—no matter where they’re stored.
We also significantly expanded Peakto’s sharing and collaboration tools. You can now invite clients or loved ones to view a photo selection via a simple link. Your files stay stored locally, yet remain accessible remotely.
You can also collaborate within the same folder when working as a team.
And of course, we enhanced existing features to give you even more control: manually identify a person in an image, edit a photo’s GPS coordinates, and benefit from broader compatibility—especially with software like Affinity.
All of this comes in a redesigned interface, with more intuitive AI-powered search and a version now available in three additional languages: German, Japanese, and Spanish.
For Videographers
For video, 2025 was a true turning point. By listening closely to directors, editors, and creators as they shared their struggles with managing footage, we built a full set of tools designed specifically for them:
- Video frame search by description, action, or scene
- Automatic generation of video transcripts
- Faster navigation within projects
- Support for a wide range of video formats
- Creation of bins directly from within Peakto
- And the much-appreciated ability to access your videos even when hard drives aren’t connected
A workflow that has clearly eased the burden for many creators.
Peakto has become a true media manager for videographers—and thanks to its collaborative features, teams can work together on files that remain hosted locally.
Performance and Experience Enhancements
Of course, there are the major features that make the headlines. But behind the scenes, 2025 was also the year of the “small” improvements—the ones that truly transform everyday experience.
At CYME, it sometimes feels like our developers are running a never-ending marathon: one eye on optimization, the other on user feedback. Their mission? To make Peakto faster, more stable, and more enjoyable—day after day.
On the performance side, Peakto became smoother at every level: opening catalogs, generating thumbnails, navigating large libraries… Everything was revisited so you spend less time waiting and more time creating.
On the stability side, the team hunted down bugs, refined the details, and strengthened the architecture. This was a top priority: if Peakto is to be your central hub, it has to be rock-solid.
This year, we didn’t just add features or improve performance. We brought Peakto closer to you—to your needs, your projects, and your ideas.
The Year Peakto Became a Plugin for Premiere Pro
This year, Peakto didn’t just become a tool for videographers—it also became a plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro through our partnership with Adobe.
With features designed specifically for video professionals—scene- or dialogue-based search, bin creation to speed up footage review, and seamless workflows to Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro—Peakto established itself as a natural companion for organizing and selecting footage. Studios, schools, and creative teams quickly adopted these tools, making Peakto a new reference for anyone working with moving images.
Awards and Recognition — A Turning Point
2025 also marked a true turning point for Peakto on the professional stage. The year kicked off with a Product of the Year award at the NAB Show in Las Vegas and continued with multiple press mentions highlighting our unique approach: a powerful, local media manager genuinely designed for creators.
These recognitions matter. They validate the team’s work, strengthen Peakto’s credibility with studios, schools, and creators, and prove that our vision—simplifying media management without relying on the cloud—now resonates across the industry. For us, this isn’t just visibility; it’s a sign that Peakto is steadily establishing itself among the tools that truly change the game.
Events That Shaped the Year — Peakto on the Road
For the CYME team, 2025 was very much a year in the field, with a stronger presence at international events to meet you in person. We showcased Peakto’s latest features at Adobe MAX 2025, connected with industry professionals at SATIS 2025, and met a passionate community at The Photography Show as well as at the Salon de la Photo 2025 in Paris.
Each event was an opportunity to show Peakto in action, better understand your needs, and share our vision of local, cloud-free media management. And as this momentum continues into 2026, we’re excited to announce our presence at Imaging USA in January and CP+ in Japan in February!
Beyond major trade shows, 2025 was also shaped by community moments that mean a great deal to us. Between YouTube Lives, Q&A sessions, creative demos, and workshops with schools and creators, we exchanged ideas, tested features, refined workflows—and above all, learned a tremendous amount. These encounters fueled Peakto’s evolution throughout the year and remain, for us, one of the strongest drivers of innovation.
A Year of Milestones — and an Even Bigger One Ahead
This year, Peakto didn’t just evolve—it grew its ecosystem. New partnerships with software publishers, creators, schools, and distributors enriched our network and strengthened the Peakto community, giving fresh momentum to our mission.
From a vision standpoint, the 2025 roadmap came to life step by step. Peakto moved closer to its ambition: becoming a universal Media Hub, capable of bringing all your media together and making it accessible, intelligent, and organized. And for 2026… let’s just say the momentum continues: even more tools for managing and creating video, new features for photo culling and deduplication, more AI, and even deeper collaboration.
Thank you for being part of this journey. And if you’re discovering Peakto today, now is the perfect time to join us—because what’s coming next promises to be even more inspiring.
